This has got to be one of the best convenience stores nationally.
The tofu hoagie is a West Philly classic. The staff is friendly and helpful and treat everyone in the neighborhood respectfully, hence the popularity of the place. There are many items you can't find in any other local store. In particular the organic section and the fresh tofu and veggies. If you need some last minute items to make a solid meal you can stop by this place and likely find them. The area is lacking a supermarket and the Fu-Wah really fills the need for some quality grub for some local residents. The owners of this place also run the good Vietnam restaurant in Chinatown and are opening a restaurant next to the Fu-Wah. |
